What mattered on this project
- Working in occupied buildings. Students lived in the buildings throughout, so works were phased area by area, with safe segregation, controlled access and noise and dust kept to a minimum.
- Keeping amenities available. Communal and amenity spaces were sequenced so residents always had access to essential facilities.
- Hard-wearing finishes. Student accommodation sees constant, heavy use, so finishes and fittings were chosen to last and to be easy to maintain.
