Is LACD a registered limited company?

Is LACD a member of any trade associations?
LACD is a member of the Federation of Master Builders and is TrustMark registered. Our managing director holds the CITB SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate, and we carry all-risk insurance.
How long has LACD been in business?
We have been building in London since 2009. Our managing director is a structural engineer with over 20 years of construction experience.
Does LACD use Gas Safe engineers and qualified electricians?
Yes. Gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers and electrical work by NICEIC-registered electricians, with certificates provided at completion.
Does LACD have technical and support staff?
Yes. Projects are run by project managers and site supervisors, with architectural designers and technical support as the project requires.
Have the directors ever dissolved a company?
No.

Do you work with our architect?
Yes. A lot of our work is building designs by architects and interior designers. We review drawings for buildability and raise questions early.
Can you handle design as well?
Yes. Through design and build we manage the survey, design, structural engineering, planning and party wall process, as well as construction.
How do you price a project?
From drawings and a specification where they exist, or from a site visit and brief. Quotations are itemised, so you can see what is included and where the money goes. For an early range, use the project cost calculator.
Can we stay in the property during the works?
Sometimes. It depends on the scope. Kitchens, main services and large structural works usually make temporary accommodation easier. We explain this at the start.
What guarantee do you give?
Workmanship and materials are warranted for 6 months from practical completion unless otherwise agreed. See our terms and conditions.
