Transforming a ground floor flat with a cellar conversion, rear extension, and bespoke internal renovations.

House extension north London

This North London project focused on transforming a ground floor flat with a rear extension and bespoke internal renovations. The works combined functional upgrades with high-quality finishes, using sustainable materials and modern construction techniques to enhance the living space. Scope of Works: Demolition and Preparation: Removal of structural elements and garden structures to prepare for the rear extension and internal layout changes. Structural Works: Installation of steel framing, reinforced concrete foundations, and waterproofing systems for long-lasting stability. Rear Extension: Constructed with Accoya timber beams, a GRP roof finish, and Vande Moortel ‘Linea’ brick cladding, blending durability with a modern aesthetic. Polished Concrete Flooring: High-quality polished concrete floors were installed in the garden room, combining sleek design with durability and easy maintenance. Bespoke Kitchen: Custom solid kitchen cabinets were designed and crafted to ensure both functionality and a timeless appearance. Custom Furniture: Handmade pine wood furniture was integrated to enhance the interior's natural warmth and charm. Bathroom Finishes: A micro cement finish in the bathroom provides a seamless, waterproof surface, paired with bespoke joinery and a unique custom concrete basin for a contemporary look. Wooden Floor Restoration: Existing pine floorboards were carefully sanded, restored, and finished to maintain the flat's character and sustainability. Garden Paving: High-quality paving was installed in the garden to create a practical and visually appealing outdoor space. Windows and Doors: Slimline double-glazed hardwood sash windows and aluminium composite units were fitted to improve thermal efficiency and complement the design.
